Baba Jan to Serve 40 Years in Prison, Supreme Appellate Court maintains Decision
The Supreme Appellate Court of Gilgit-Baltistan has maintained its decision on Baba Jan’s case. According to the decision that came at noon today, Baba Jan will serve 40 years in prison.

The Supreme Appellate Court of Gilgit-Baltistan has maintained its decision on Baba Jan’s case. According to the decision that came at noon today, Baba Jan will serve 40 years in prison. After the decision, Baba Jan will not be able to contest elections on GBLA-6 seat that is vacant after Mir Ghazanfar Ali Khan was appointed the Governor of Gilgit-Baltistan.
“Baba Jan and other co-accused convicted by Supreme Appeallate Court GB Today, by accepting Appeal filed by state againts the judgment of GB Chief Court whereby the Chief court had acquitted the co-accused along with Baba jan while setting aside the conviction of Anti terrorism Court Gilgit. Supreme Appeallate Court GB maintained the conviction of ATC Gilgit by majority opinion, Justice Shahbaz noted his dissenting view.” posted a court official on hi Facebook page.
